Welcome to Teglutik®

This website is for patients interested in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Teglutik®.

Teglutik® is a medicine used to treat ALS, a disease that affects the nervous system and causes muscles to waste away. It is sometimes also called motor neuron disease (MND) because ALS is the most common type of MND.

Teglutik® is an oral liquid "suspension" that contains a drug called riluzole that helps to slow down the progression of the disease, possibly by stopping nerves from being damaged.1

Teglutik®'s liquid formulation has a nectar-like texture, much like double cream, that is easy for you to swallow so you can continue to take your medication for as long as possible. Teglutik® is administered via a syringe that is used to place the liquid on to the centre of the tongue before being swallowed.1

If you have any specific questions about your health or ALS treatment, you should speak to your doctor.
